blog # 5 !!

http://www.cnn.com/2011/US/04/08/dolphin.death.mystery/index.html?iref=allsearch#

This article was really interesting. There are baby dolphins found washed up on the gulf of Mexico either stranded or dead. 406 dolphins have been found washed up on shore since february of this year. Most of the dolphins found are very young. Some scientists believe the oil spill might have something to do with the deaths of the dolphins but most no one really knows the for sure reason of these dolphins dying. However, some of the dolphins found have oil remains either in them or on them. The dolphins found are bottlenose dolphins. The article also mentions that the number of stranded sea turtles have been increasing recently too. This is really sad becuase for some reason the bottlenose dolphins seem to be the most effected by (if that is the reason) the oil spills.

Music video in Espanol...

http://music.aol.com/video/enrique-iglesias-dimelo/enrique-iglesias/adam:6203152

It was really hard to find a music video that was not either a slow ballad or completly sexual, but i think I found one in the middle. I chose Dimelo by Enrique Inglesias. "Dimelo" means tell me. I reconize this song from the english version. The music video is pretty funny, but kind of stupid.
In all his serious videos, he acts really dramatic, even when he's simply getting gas or walking on the street. However, he is obviously really talented and sounds great in both english and spanish!

If I could go anywhere....

If I could go anywhere, I would go to either Australia or Ireland.

Australia is so beautiful. I love the culture and way of life there. Australia seems off to their own and there are so many cool places to visit and things to see. There is also a cool church there, Hillsong, and it seems pretty cool. I would love to go to Sydney and visit the shops and go to the beach there. The pictures look amazing!

I also would like to visit Ireland because it is so beautiful there. I love the culture and I have a little Irish in me so I really am interested in visiting!

Delea's SECOND blog entry!

Web Article: Cuba and its dissidents move battle to theinternet By Shasta Darlington, CNN

This article talks about how Cuban citizens are becoming more suficient in using the internet and Cuban goverment officials are getting worried that it will become a thret towards the goverment. An almost completly annonomous source posted a video online showing a lecture given to what looks like Cuban Goverment officials saying that the internet is not a bad thing, however, they need to learn to use it to their advantage and know how to know what they "enemy" is trying to do with it. (enemy being Cuban citizens who disagree with the Cuban goverment.)
The article aslo talks about how Cuban officials have jailed U.S citizen, Alan Gross (subcontractor for USAID). Cuban Officials have acused him of distributing iligal satalite equipment to Cuban citizens that help them connect to the internet. However, his family in the U.S say he was working over there with Jewish groups. Gross could spend up to 20 years in prison in Cuba.

This article is interesting to me becuase not only would I would love to see the people of Cuba recieve much needed freedom, but it is scary to think of US citizens being held up over there. This article is also ironic because Cuba blamed US for many years of giving way of internet use to Cuban citizens, however, officials are learning to use the internet to their advantage and are creating a new network connecting internet with Venezuela this summer.

Delea's first blog entry (spanish 2, keenan)

a. What do you hope to do this semester? (Academically, personally, professionally, etc.)
b. What are your thoughts about blogging? Have you ever done this before? How do you think this could be a useful tool?
c. Is there anything you want me to know as we progress through the semester?

I hope to really work this semester and really do good. I have harder classes this semester vs. last but I usually do better when I have hard classes then easy ones (I get lazy.) :) I'm hoping for some A's.

I know some people that have really good blogs that I read sometimes but I usually don't do the blogging myself. It's cool for school because a lot of kids use computers at home so it's convenient to do their homework on a blog since they are already on the computer.

Not really..... :D
